Exclamation (!) Energy Drink is rather unique in the energy drink market. It comes in a 12 oz can, just like a can of soda pop. The logo is a simple “!” in a circle on cool orange swirl design. The back of the can explains that “exclamation needs no explanation.” Exclamation Energy Drink has definitely succeeded in separating itself from the rest of the energy drink market, and this is something that the energy drink market desperately needs more of.
Upon opening the can, the smell is that of a cross between orange soda and Fresca. Because of the orange can I expected an orange soda type of flavor, which is not what I found. Instead there is a light grapefruit and citrus taste to it. The flavor is not harsh at all and is very easy to drink. There is a slight after taste that lingers after you drink Exclamation Energy Drink, but it is not as bad as many other drinks out there. The taste of Exclamation Energy Drink is nothing like the typical Red Bull or Rockstar rip-offs that have flooded the market; it is something new and unique to the energy drink market.
Exclamation Energy Drink relies not only on caffeine and taurine for energy, but also guarana, ginseng, and a large vitamin blend to pack a real punch. Despite the 12 ounce can, this drink provides a level of energy comparable to most 8 or 16 ounce energy drinks. Although I did not experience a big “high” from this drink, the energy did last for numerous hours and there was no “crash” at the end.
