ZizZazZ Lemon Rasberry comes in a small foil tube that makes it very easy and convenient to take with you on the go. The black tube has the ZizZazZ logo on the front and some fireworks graphics, on the back is the list of ingredients and nutrition facts as well as the directions. The directions are very simple, “eat or mix with liquid.” Some additional directions would have been helpful for a consumer who has never had a drink like this, as it does not say how much liquid to mix the packet with or any details about it.
Prior to mixing the packet with water, I decided to taste the powder. It tasted fairly sour and resembled the candy Pixie Sticks. I then mixed the powder in a 16 ounce bottle of water. The taste was about what you expect, with a raspberry lemonade taste. The raspberry flavor is more powerful than the lemon flavor, but it is a good balance. The drink is fairly sweet with a nice sour kick from the lemon. The taste of this drink is very impressive for only having 1 gram of sugar and 20 calories. It does not have a strong aftertaste, which is definitely a plus.
ZizZazZ advertises “explosive energy,” but do they provide it? ZizZazZ is loaded with essential B Vitamins, Green Tea, Rhodiola and Ginseng. These ingredients provide a healthier, consistent energy. ZizZazZ is not carbonated and includes only 1g of sugar, so there is no crash once the sugar has been absorbed. However, because there is no sugar, you also do not get that “sugar high” that you get from many other drinks out there. ZizZazZ still provides a nice kick that will last for a couple of hours.
