The BAWLS Guarana Cherry can comes in a bright red 16 ounce can. The can has the typical BAWLS logo on it and is surrounded by white and silver circles. These circles are supposed to look similar to the bumps on the original BAWLS glass bottles. Also the circles are supposed to turn blue when the beverage is thoroughly chilled. Around the top of the can are the words “high caffeine guarana soda” and this drink is just that, with 100mg of caffeine. The smell of the drink has a very strong and distinct cherry smell, which I find very pleasant. Currently this drink is only available in 16 ounce cans, but there are plans to release it in the 10 ounce glass bottles that BAWLS Guarana is known for.

Taste Rating:

The bright red can of BAWLS Guarana Cherry and the distinct cherry smell made me very anxious to try this drink. The initial taste of this drink is exactly what I hoped for, it has a very nice maraschino cherry (the kind of cherry you find on ice cream sundae) taste. After the initial taste there is a fairly strong medicinal or cough syrup taste, which is probably from the caffeine and guarana extract. An unpleasant medicinal flavored coating lingered in my mouth for quite a long time after finishing this drink.

Energy Rating:

Like all other BAWLS Guarana products, this is a “high caffeine guarana soda.” The 16 ounces of this drink packs in 100mg of caffeine, which is a fairly good amount. The drink also provides a good initial rush. The energy was relatively good and lasted for about three hours before I experienced a bit of crash.
