ZizZazZ Cherry Lime comes in a small foil tube that makes it very easy and convenient to take with you on the go. The drink mix tube features the ZizZazZ logo and tagline “explosive energy” on the front over top of a cool red and orange background. The back of the packaging has a list of ingredients and nutrition facts as well as the directions. The directions are very simple, “eat or mix with liquid.” Some additional directions would have been helpful for a consumer who has never had a drink like this, as it does not say how much liquid to mix the packet with or any details about it.

Taste Rating:

Prior to mixing the packet with water, I decided to taste the powder. It tasted fairly sour and resembled the candy Pixie Sticks. I then mixed the powder in a 16 ounce bottle of water. The drink had a distinct Lime flavor mixed with a bit of cherry. The drink is fairly sweet with bit of a sour or tangy kick to it. The taste of this drink is very impressive for only having 1 gram of sugar and 20 calories. There was a slight aftertaste, but it was not bad compared to other drinks which are low in sugar and calories.

Energy Rating:

ZizZazZ advertises “explosive energy,” but do they provide it? ZizZazZ is loaded with essential B Vitamins, Green Tea, Rhodiola and Ginseng. These ingredients provide a healthier, consistent energy. ZizZazZ is not carbonated and includes only 1g of sugar, so there is no crash once the sugar has been absorbed. However, because there is no sugar, you also do not get that “sugar high” that you get from many other drinks out there. ZizZazZ still provides a nice kick that will last for a couple of hours.
