AMP Energy Elevate

AMP Elevate is another of the new flavors of AMP Energy. Elevate comes in a black and blue can with a large AMP logo in silver and white. The liquid itself is a purple color. The blue design gives the vibe of a mix berry flavored drink, and that is exactly what you get. The can has kind of a cool and professional look to it. On the down side, there is far too much text on it. The front of the can is somewhat jumbled with different descriptions, names, and ingredients.

This flavor of AMP is a mixed berry flavored drink with a hint of citrus to it. The berry flavor consists of a mix of blackberry, raspberry, and blueberry flavors. There are not any bad after tastes or medicinal flavors often associated with energy drinks. Interestingly, this flavor reminds me of Pepsi Blue, a berry flavored drink released in 2002. If you like Mountain Dew and Berry flavored energy drinks or if you were a fan of Pepsi Blue, then you will probably like this drink.

AMP Energy Elevate contains the typical energy ingredients such as caffeine guarana, ginseng, taurine, and B vitamins. In addition to these ingredients, Elevate also includes L-Theanine which has been shown to reduce mental and physical stress, may produce feelings of relaxation and improves cognition and mood when taken in combination with caffeine. In other words L-Theanine is supposed to help make you relaxed and productive when consumed with caffeine. This drink did provide a nice boost after drinking it and it was fairly relaxing to drink. Overall this was a good experience, however it was not the biggest boost of energy.
