Superfruit is the newest flavor from the Guru Juicy Energy Drink Hybrid. This is not only an energy drink, but an “energy drink hybrid,” mixing the kick of an energy drink with real fruit juice. The design of the 12 ounce “slim” can is slick and well put together. An interesting thing to note is that this drink is 100% organic and natural. On the downside, this product has a suggested price of $2.99 for the 12 ounce can.
Superfruit is a term that refers to a fruit having exceptional nutrient richness and antioxidant quality with an appealing taste and Guru Juicy Superfruit definitely has an appealing taste. The taste has a very rich fruit flavor, like a sort of punch. There is a wide variety of fruit juices in this drink including white grape, lemon, acai, and pomegranate. There also seemed to be a hint of cherry and berry flavors in it as well. This drink is very smooth and easy to drink, partially due to being non-carbonated. There are no bad aftertastes from this drink. This drink consists of 20% organic juice and is sweetened with sugar cane juice, instead of artificial sweeteners, making it a healthier choice.
Being that this drink is 100% natural and certified USDA Organic, I was not sure what kind of kick to expect from it. It is also interesting to note that an ingredient found in most energy drinks, taurine, is absent from this drink. With all of this said, I was impressed by the energy this drink provides as well as the mental boost. The drink makes use of all natural ingredients, such as Guarana, Ginseng, and Ginkgo biloba, to provide a boost of energy. Guru Juicy Superfruit boasts 97 mg of caffeine per 8.3 fl ounce serving. Overall, this drink provided a healthy boost without a crash at the end.
